a) Name and describe how the database is used or works

b) The benefits of databases in the field identified

c) Social and ethical issues arising from using the database in the identified field

d) Suggest some solutions to main problems identified

CASE STUDY ASSIGNMENT (HL Student Only)


Identify at least TWO Taxi companies and interview them on their operations and how IT is used. For each company collect the following information

• What IT systems or programs are used
• How do the programs / systems work
• What are problems do the companies face while using the systems
• How have they solved some of the problems

Please collect any receipts, bar codes and any related documentations for evidence. 

Also study the http://www.taxi-track.com and compare with any other taxi local company or international taxi companies.

• Find out the Similarities and the differences in how IT is used in each company
• What are the major problems of Red Dragon company and what solutions can you suggested?

N/B Ensure that the research is extensive
