DNS: Domain Name System stores and associates many types of information with domain names; most importantly, it translates domain names (computer hostnames) to IP addresses.
Web content management system is a spftware that authorises users to create their own websites in a spimple way without having to hire technical staff.
There are three different types of WCMS:
1) Online processing
2) Hybrid processing
3) Offline Processing
Some of the disadvantages of the WCMS are:
- A user can create a standtard format in which will allow consistancy on the web page.
- The content of the webpage is easy to edit and manipulate
- The site is multilingua as it can be displayed in many languages
- Control over the limitations in which certain users can view the web page.
Some of the disadvantages of the software are:
- If a user wants to create a lot of files, then they are open to many errors hence if a user wants to check out the error, they would have a difficult time doing it resulting them to start again.
- There is a limited flexability in designing of the webpage
- The HTLM address of the webpage would be expremtly strong with the combination of numbers, letters and symbols because the web pages of a CMS site are generated dynamically
- Maintainance and the designing of the webpage is usually quite high
- Loading the webpages may be quite slow due to the number of files one contains.
Shopping cart software is software used in e-commerce to assist people making purchases online, analogous to the American English term 'shopping cart'. In British English it is generally known as a shopping basket, almost exclusively shortened on websites to 'basket'.

How it works: They're basically simple text files that, once submitted to feed directories, will allow subscribers to see content within a very short time after it's updated (sometimes as short as 30 minutes or less; it's getting faster all the time).
